Here we go - mandatory flu shots for pre-school kids. Imagine a place and time where your child's health is not your business, but that of some government and its perceived panel of experts. That place and time is wherever you are and it is now. The government owns your body, your children, and controls your choices.

New Jersey also will require preschoolers to get a pneumococcal vaccine and sixth-graders to get vaccines against meningitis, which New Jersey already requires for college dormitory residents, and a booster shot against whooping cough, which in recent years has seen a resurgence blamed on waning potency of shots given to infants and preschoolers.

Dare I mention Merck's contaminated (and soon to be mandatory in New Jersey) vaccines?
